What is Meal Genie?
Meal Genie is a meal kit subscription service. As a customer of Meal Genie you will receive pre measured ingredients and recipe cards to prepare delicious nutritious meals every week delivered to your home or your place of work.
A subscription service? Does that mean I am locked into a contract?
No. Here at Meal Genie we understand that modern lifestyles are hectic and need to be as flexible as possible. Meal Genie is a lifestyle subscription service that can be paused or cancelled at anytime.
In a nutshell how does it work?
6 meal options are available to you every week. Once you subscribe as a customer of Meal Genie you get to pick your 3 favourite meal options every week.
As an ongoing customer you will receive an email to remind you to pick your options by midnight Wednesday for the following week or alternatively skip a week.

Is Meal Genie for me?
Meal Genie is for you if:
- You have limited time and don’t want to spend the little time you have making multiple weekly trips to the supermarket, researching recipes and sourcing diverse ingredients
- You want to improve your repertoire of meals because you consistently cook the same 3-4 meals every week
- You find yourself reaching for the takeaway menu 2-3 times a week
- A large amount of the fresh food you buy every week ends up in the bin
- You want to live a healthy lifestyle but don’t believe it should be difficult
You and your other half consistently ask, “what’s for dinner?”
What are your plans and how much do they cost?
We currently have a trial bag plan and 2-person plan. These supply everything you need to cook 3 meals for the week. The price for a trial bag plan is €59.95 and the price for the 2-person plan is €57.95. The trial bag allows you to try our service for 1 week without signing up for the subscription model. Where do you deliver to?
Meal Genie currently delivers to workplaces and homes in Dublin . We will be expanding very soon so check back shortly to see if we are delivering to your area.
When do you deliver?
Most people like to start every week with a fridge packed with fresh food. With that in mind, your meal kit will be delivered to your home address on a Sunday or your work address on a Monday. Please contact us if you have any specific questions regarding delivery at info@mealgenie.ie
I’d like to get my package delivered to work – How will I carry it home?
For those opting to have their fresh goodies delivered to work, we have designed trendy thermally lined carry bags. They look great, are easy to carry whether you are on the bike or on foot and will keep your food nicely chilled until you get home.
How do I manage my account?
Managing your account is easy. Please login using your account details and go to the “Account Settings” page. From here you can pause your membership, update your delivery address (provided you are still in the delivery area) or cancel your membership.

Who designs the recipes?
All of our recipes are lovingly crafted by our in-house chef and reviewed by our in-house nutritionist. Information regarding nutritional content, allergies and cooking times are all included.
Where does my food come from?
At Meal Genie we aim to source all of our ingredients from local suppliers and producers. We are always looking to work with new suppliers so if you think you have the magic and would like to collaborate with us please contact us on info@mealgenie.ie
How long can my food stay out of the fridge?
Our packaging has been designed with your lifestyle in mind.
If your meal kits are being delivered to work you will receive it in one of our insulated bags. The bags are insulated and also packed with ice to ensure they stay as cool as possible. This will ensure your food will stay fresh and chilled until you get home and allows you to transport it home as easily as possible. Please ensure you chill your food in a fridge as soon as possible. As we aim to be as sustainable as possible we will gift you your first bag however please return subsequent bags to us and we can reuse them the following week.
If your meal kit is being delivered to your home address you will receive it in an insulated cardboard box. As with the bags to ensure maximum freshness please place food in the fridge as soon as possible.
How long will my ingredients last?
Once we have received your 3 different choices for the following week, we set about finalizing our orders. We have adapted a Just-in-time logistics system with our suppliers to ensure that everything is as fresh as possible. Once properly refrigerated, our ingredients will last until the end of the week it was delivered. It goes without saying that for recipes including certain fresh herbs, fish & chicken that the earlier in the week these are cooked, the better they will taste!
Do you cater for people with allergies?
All allergens in our ingredients are listed on the recipe detail page online and also on the hardcopy of your recipe card. Unfortunately as all our ingredients are prepared in the same kitchen we cannot guarantee our ingredients are nut free so our service is not suitable for anyone with a nut allergy
What happens if I’m not happy with my meal kit?
